Dear Students and Parents:
Welcome back! We look forward to an exciting year and hope it will be enjoyable for everyone!
Memorial High School takes pride in providing a quality instructional environment that prepares your child for the CORE 40 diploma and life beyond high school. We will begin the 2010-2011 school year with a new schedule.Starting this year, Memorial will operate under a 7-period day. Each class will be 50 minutes in duration and passing periods will last 5 minutes. The schedule will also include a 30-minute Advisory period. Students will also be allowed to carry a standardized backpack.
It is important that the school, parents, and community work together to assure that each child receives a quality education, comes prepared to school and has the expectation to learn. Memorial has high expectations to increase the graduation rate, but we can only do this with your help and support. Our Freshmen Charger Learning Communities have proven successful, and we hope to continue that success in the years to come!
Whether they are seeking a post secondary degree or employment in the work place, today’s students must be prepared as they leave their high school years. Please take the time to get involved and stay involved with your child’s education from the beginning and continue through his/her four years.
We look forward to seeing everyone soon. Together we can make Memorial a better place to learn. Sincerely,
Mark Tobolski
